St. John’s Jesuit High School (7-12)
Welcome to St. John’s Jesuit High School and Academy! As you get to know our school better through this website, I hope that you will note the vibrant community that is St. John’s Jesuit. We offer outstanding academics and exceptional extra-curricular activities, including first-rate athletics. But as a Jesuit school, we go beyond just academics and activities. We educate the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. Central to a Jesuit education is the spiritual formation that we offer our students.
I’ve always thought that good schools, good Jesuit schools in particular, allow for the possibility of an experience of God. And not just any experience, but a formative experience, something that will affect the students’ lives, fashioned by their own self-reflection and understanding. It happened in the Jesuit high school I attended. They kept talking about us being men for others, men who trusted and depended on God, who loved our neighbors as ourselves. It took a while but I eventually figured out what all that meant.

It is our obligation to encourage children
and to listen to them so that each grows
according to the design written into his/her being.
